GEMSTONE YOGA AND FITNESS!

Our yoga studio and fitness area are located on the second floor.

Our athlete inspired FITNESS AREA has the equipment and tools necessary for general fitness and to propel any basic climber to an elite climber.  Whether it’s strength training, cardio, or climbing specific system training, we have the tools and equipment necessary:  bikes, treadmills, elliptical, rowers, training rig, squat racks, climbing ropes, sled, kettle bells, dumb bells, monkey bars, peg boards, salmon ladder, and more.

Our ZEN INSPIRED YOGA ROOM has been designed to heat up and cool down to facilitate a variety of classes, including heated yoga and non heated yoga. We have recruited some of the area’s best instructors to offer a full spectrum of classes for the young, old, male, female, beginners, and advanced.  Whether you want to strengthen, lengthen, stretch or relax, we are here for you. 

Also in our upstairs fitness area we have a WOW BOARD and a STRETCH BOARD. The WOW board lists a ‘workout of the week’ and will be posted every week on the board for you to come and do on your own time. This workout can be combined with cardio and climbing for a full total body workout! Our stretch board offers a variety of yoga and stretching sequences to meet your specific needs.
 





YOGA CLASSES

MORNING HOT YOGA

Our Monday, Wednesday and Friday Hot Yoga Classes are in a heated room of 100 – 105 degrees. You will do vinyasa flow style yoga using full range of motions to help with all your daily activities and hobbies including climbing. Doing yoga regularly will help you build both strength and flexibility to have a more balanced body. You will get stronger, more pliable, more healthy and more mindful!

EVENING HOT POWER YOGA

It is a movement based class with a strong emphasis on breath, strength, and flexibility. The classes are powerful, vigorous, energetic and playful. Moving mindfully through poses allows beginners, intermediate, and advanced students to be challenged all in the same class. The room is heated to help cleanse the body and warm the muscles. The class length is 80 minutes.

WARM VINYASA FLOW YOGA

This 60 minute class is in a 95 degree room. It is a flow based class with a strong emphasis on movement, awareness, breath, strength and flexibility. You will move from pose to pose energetically, dynamically, and intuitively. Moving sensitively through poses allows it the perfect class for beginners to advanced students. The room is heated to warm the muscles.

VINYASA FLOW YOGA

Vinyasa Yoga is a class with a strong emphasis on movement, awareness, breath, strength and flexibility. You will move from pose to pose energetically, dynamically, and intuitively. GENTLE FLOW YOGA

Gentle Flow Yoga is a great way to revitalize the body, restore internal balance, relax the mind and release stress. It’s a slow-moving class that synchronizes slow movement with slow breathing. The class will have some flow, some deep stretching, and some restorative poses. It is a gentle way to give your whole body a gentle buzz of energy. Because it offers nurturing, kindness and compassion for the body, it is great for all levels including beginners. It is the perfect way to end your Monday.

ENERGIZING YOGA

This yoga class is a fun, invigorating, flowing class meant to wake you up and start your day right. We will focus on flexibility, balance, strength, and mindfulness, with a special emphasis on utilizing the muscles you need for all your spring and summer play. Come join this early rising community!

DEEP STRETCH YIN

Deep Stretch YIN is a restorative practice utilizing long held poses that bring health and wellness to the deep tissues of our ligaments, joints, deep fascia networks, and even our bones. The room is warmed to a comfortable temperature to allow for deep stretching, restoration and relaxation. Props are provided.

TIPS FOR YOUR FIRST YOGA CLASS

To get the most out of your practice and enjoy the experience, we recommend that you:
-Arrive 10 minutes early.
-Discuss any health issues with your teacher.
-Don’t come to class on a full stomach.
-Bring water.
-Wear something you can sweat in.
-Yoga mats and yoga towels are provided free of charge.
-Listen to your body.
-Take breaks often.

The approach to overall performance improvement incorporates strength, intensity, endurance, speed, core stability and aerobic training – all delivered in a supportive & friendly atmosphere which creates a rewarding environment to grow. The class will utilize the fitness area, the multi-rig, medicine balls, free weights and your own body weight. Our goal is to deliver a fitness class you look forward to all day then leave with a sense of achievement that carries into everything else you do in life. PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED!

BOOT CAMP

Boot camp is a group setting fitness class that is fun, up-beat and very interactive. Whether you are a beginner to the fitness world or you’re an advanced athlete this class will suit your needs. This class has a lot of body weight and natural movement exercises. Moving our bodies in the most natural way will give us the best benefit in everyday living. This is 60 minutes of pure AWESOME! Starting with a solid 15 minute warm up to get the blood pumping and the muscles warmed up, we then move into high intensity stations for about 30 minutes. After high intensity we will tone it down for a good core workout and cool down followed by a deep stretch. If you want to meet new fitness enthusiast, people with goals, new friends, or just want to get a good workout in a group setting, come join the fun Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings at 6am.

BASE CAMP

Base Camp is a high energy strength & conditioning class designed to develop the recreational fitness enthusiasts’ body and mind into top shape. HIGH FITNESS

HIGH transforms old school aerobics into a highly addictive new fitness experience that combines simple, modern fitness techniques (i.e. HIIT, plyometrics, etc.) with music you know and love. This results in a high energy, INTENSE and crazy fun workout that leaves participants feeling HIGH and wanting more. Our formula alternates between cardio peaks and toning tracks that will take your heart rate to the sky and strength to the next level. Our Saturday Fitness class is the perfect way to jump start your weekend! In a fun team setting environment, we will work together to build functional strength and agility as well as increased endurance, stamina and power through high intensity workouts.
