Join us for our Take On Me! Climbing Comp! 2025
This is a fun top rope, lead, and adaptive climbing competition!
Categories are separated in the following categories: 1. Male Top Rope 2. Female Top Rope 3. Male Lead 4. Female Lead 5. Adaptive.
Points will be accumulated for only the completed climbs. There will be no limit on how many attempts you can make on a particular route, but only clean routes with no takes and no falls will earn points.
Date: April 26, 20225, Saturday
Time: 10am – 2pm, finals only in the event of a points tie.
Register by April 12th to get a free sun visor! Door register is available too.
Price: $20 for members, $25 for non-members and $10 for current Gemstone employees.
Certification: We will have someone here at 9am to belay test any belayers. If you are lead climbing or belaying, you must test out.
Required to compete: To compete in the lead category, you must be 14 years and be lead certified by one of our staff. If you belay, you must be 14 years old and be belay certified by one of our Gemstone staff. All guests must have a current signed liability waiver even if you are not climbing.
Description: 30 routes ranging from 5.8 to 5.12b+
Finals route (if necessary) will be chosen by staff. There will be no award ceremony. The top points earners in the categories will be awarded Gemstone gift certificates.
Red Point:
Points are gained only if the route is completed clean.
No limit on attempts.
All climbs must be clean, meaning your belayer cannot ever take the rope for the route to count.
Beta cannot be given once the climber is on the wall.
